Part of my ethical practice involves questioning the expectation that individuals must develop resilience on their own while being impacted by systemic oppression. While I believe therapy can play a major role in facilitating growth and healing, it is important to be mindful of falling into patterns that reinforce pressures of productivity and perfectionism.
